The crazy title for this " Marilyn Monroe and the upside down world of the piccolo" was inspired by the thought that I wanted to use Freud as the catalyst for my argument about cities. This was my first experience of TEDX and I had a blast.

I actually stayed as the guest of the Global Seminar in the beautiful castle on the lake which is one of the abiding images from "The Sound of Music" movie. This setting guaranteed inspiration.

"My instrument is the violin and I still have an incurable fascination with its repertoire and players. Occasionally I am invited to give Masterclasses with outstanding young violinists, something which I simply adore doing. This video is an extract from a class which included two wonderful player's from NEC's Prep Department, Haig Hovsepian and Austin Kwoun, who I am sure will have great careers as musicians."
